Our volume point of control (vpoc) takes the analysis of price action and volume to another level and which also complements the volume price analysis methodology. In this video, David explains how the alerts work on the version for Tradingview.

Session crossovers provide market makers with the perfect opportunity to trap traders into losing positions. Sadly, many traders are still unaware that this happens regularly and across all markets. It is done using the volatility we always see when transitioning from one financial centre to another or at the opening of a physical market. For example, at the Wall Street open, there is an inrush of participants into equities and markets such as Globex. The result is always volatile, with prices moving quickly in one direction before reversing sharply.
However, traders who use price action and volume analysis recognize these traps and stay out until the true market direction is confirmed. There was a great example this week on the gbp/jpy at the London open when as we can see from the 15 min chart above, the currency pair seemed poised to reverse lower following a strong move higher at Eurex (the European open) and following such a move a reversal...
A wide-ranging video in which David highlights some nice vpa examples on the indices ahead of the US Close, along with how the volume point of control (VPOC) can often signal a major reversal in trend. Plus, the importance of the psychology of trading and why it is the key to discovering your trading persona.

Stock Analysis Using the Volume Point of Control & Accumulation & Distribution Indicators
Stock analysis becomes clearer with volume price analysis (VPA) tools. The Volume Point of Control (VPOC) and Accumulation & Distribution indicators reveal hidden intent. They show where professionals buy or sell. This helps spot trends, reversals, and key levels in stocks.
In this video, David & I cover using the Quantumtrading support & resistance indicators for stocks such as Fate Therapeutics, Apple & Tesla. The indicators in question are the volume point of control, which marks out key levels in terms of volume, and the price-based accumulation and distribution indicator. This indicator is unique in that once the indicator marks a level it will thicken each time that level is tested and holds.
What this does for the trader and investor is give a clear visual picture...
An update on the monthly chart for the XLE energy EFT as the sector appears to fall out of favor with the monthly chart looking to post a bearish engulfing candle. However, we were already aware the price action in the XLE was likely to come to a pause and probable reversal with the failure to take out the volume band of the volume point of control (vpoc). As one of our most powerful indicators, the vpoc not only gives us the structure of the chart in terms of whether the price action is in trend or congestion but also gives us key volume-based support & resistance levels and zones.
In addition, last month's candle also triggered our volatility indicator so a retrace into the spread of the candle was highly likely, particularly when accompanied by low volume. The vpoc itself (yellow hatched line) marks the area on the chart which could be described as being 'fair value' where traders &...
Two volume price analysis lessons in one here on the daily chart for the GBP/JPY. First we see rising price and falling volume as the rally of late March stalls as a result. This is an anomaly as we should expect to see rising prices supported with rising volume if the trend is to develop with real momentum. Then we move into the congestion phase. Note the fall in volume as price action narrows and trades around the volume point of control. Now all we need to do is wait and be patient. The breakout will come in due course, and be confirmed as genuine or false with volume.

How to Trade Emini Futures Using Quantum Trading Tools and Indicators
Emini futures (e.g., /ES for S&P 500, /NQ for Nasdaq, /YM for Dow) are popular for day traders. They offer high liquidity, leverage, and 24/5 trading. Quantum Trading tools, built on volume price analysis (VPA) by Anna Coulling, give a clear edge. They reveal true market intent through volume. Here's a practical guide using Quantum indicators on NinjaTrader (primary platform for emini).
If you want to discover how to trade the emini futures markets, this is the video for you as Anna and David apply the Quantum Trading tools and indicators in live markets. In this webinar it was the NQ emini which led the way higher, following a sharp move lower following the opening of the cash markets, and delivered an excellent trend higher with the initial buying evident from a volume price analysis perspective.

Key indicators in the move were the trend monitor, the currency strength indicator, the currency...
The power of the Volume Point of Control (VPOC) indicator for MT5 lies in its ability to pinpoint the price level with the highest traded volume within a session, revealing where the market considers "fair value" and institutional activity is concentrated. In volume price analysis (VPA), VPOC acts as a magnet for price, often serving as strong support/resistance or a pivot for reversals and breakouts.
Developed as part of the Quantum Trading suite by Anna Coulling, this indicator on MT5 provides clear visual overlays, helping traders identify accumulation/distribution zones in forex, indices, and commodities. Whether spotting exhaustion at highs/lows or confirming trend strength, VPOC cuts through noise for precise decisions—ideal for day traders and scalpers seeking an edge in volatile sessions.

The VPOC Indicator for NinjaTrader in Action!
The Volume Point of Control (VPOC) indicator on NinjaTrader is in action across sessions. It marks the price with the highest traded volume. This reveals "fair value" levels. Price often reacts here. Traders use it for support, resistance, or reversals.
In this video we take a closer look at the VPOC indicator for Ninjatrader, and see it in action across a variety of markets and timeframes. We start by looking at the ES mini on fast 3-minute and higher timeframe charts as the physical market opens to join Globex. Next we look at the VPOC on a GBP/USD chart on seconds, and to complete the trio of faster time frame charts, we look at the NQ emini on a tick chart. The VPOC indicator for Ninjatrader works in exactly the same way, whether on a minute chart, a seconds chart or a tick chart.
Finally, to round off this video, we take a look at some...

Most technical indicators uncover and exploit the price patterns on the charts and make assumptions, suggestions, and predictions of the next price movement accordingly. However, price is only half the story. The measure of activity behind price movement is key. It is the crescendo and diminuendo of ‘market noise’ which holds the key. In other words - volume
For the traders of the past, tape reading was all they had, reading volume and price as the ticker tape punched out the last price and associated volume, a powerful approach we still use today with the Quantum tick volumes indicator.
But now, with the Quantum VPOC ( volume point of control) indicator we have taken the analysis of volume and price to a higher level, which both compliments and expands the VPA relationship. Whilst the Quantum tick volumes indicator considers the relationship between a single volume bar and its associated candle, the Quantum VPOC indicator analyses the density...
