The MT5 platform is the next generation of MetaQuotes’ trading platforms. So, whilst its sister platform, MT4, has become firmly established as a favourite with forex traders, MT5 is now rapidly gaining in popularity and on which all the Quantum Trading tools and indicators are available.
One of the catalysts for this rapid rise in popularity was the 2016 addition of the option to hedge. Now, forex traders are no longer restricted to the MT4 platform; hedging is now available on MT5. This is a game-changer, with brokers increasingly offering the MT5 platform alongside MT4. Whilst the two platforms have much in common, there are some significant differences.
First, traders consider MT5 a true multi-asset platform, and it offers an array of markets including commodities, stocks, indices, cryptocurrencies and of course, forex.
Second, the MT5 platform offers a wide array of timescales. No longer do standard options restrict traders to a limited number, which can be restrictive. On the MT5 platform, the system fills these gaps with 2-minute, 3-minute, 4-minute, and many other time frames, giving traders access to actual multi-time-frame trading.
More recently, MetaQuotes has added exciting new features, not least the floating window docking option, which allows traders to detach charts and place them on separate monitors.
Whilst the MT4 platform is here to stay, brokers worldwide are increasingly now adopting and offering MT5.This gives you all the benefits of the platform you know and love, but opening up an array of new markets on an exciting, powerful yet familiar platform.
